CHI @ OAK – Week 5

I’m sitting here piling stuff onto the scale for this game, and everything seems to tip in favor of The Bears.

The Bears just made it to London. The Raiders haven’t been in their own beds for over a week.

The Raiders have one of their better defense pieces in Vontaze Burfict suspended for the season. The Bears’ defense, on the other hand, got their tackle machine back in Roquan Smith. The Dog loved that Defense without him last week too!

Derek Carr has a passer rating approaching 100 and the offense is still chasing its tail. The Bears lose their starting QB and Chase Daniel arguably looks like an upgrade for the Bears offense.

The scale all points Bears. More often than not, that’s my queue to just do the opposite, but The Bears cover the 4.5 points in this one with another big defensive game.

Unders this year are 28-22 and with this Bears team I don’t see many points… Unless they come from their defense. I feel better about the side than the total here, but still like the under.

OAK @ IND – Week 4

Oakland is hot garbage. The week 1 surprise win now feels like forever ago. Gruden and crew got outmanned and outgunned against Minnesota and KC.

The Dogs likes his brisket cooked low, slow and juicy, but this Jacoby Briskett has been cooking on high every Sunday.

T.Y. Hilton is questionable with a quad injury, so The Dog sees this one being more of a ground game. Marlon Mack and that O-Line will have themselves a DAY!

Frank Reich is an early frontrunner for Coach of the Year.   Indy 2-0-1 against the spread this season.

The rend is your friend, don’t bet against that. The Dog like the Colts to cover & the OVER.

OAK @ MIN – Week 3

Oakland @ Minnesota

The Vikings are arguably one the most talented teams in the NFC.  Good defense. Good weapons at all positions on offense.

Dalvin Cook has sure been up to the task of carrying the offense –  130YPG on the ground to go along with 3 touchdowns. But you can’t win in the current NFL against good teams by just pounding the rock.

Is there a glaring weakness holding them back? Maybe. Has @DPShow fan favorite Kirk D. Cousins; shout out @AndrewPerloff @PaulPabst, delivered on his big contract?  Seems that Minnesota may be trying to hide him. Only giving him 10 passing attempts in a Week 1 win against the Falcons. Sub 50% completion with 2 picks against the Pack in a game they could’ve won.  He NEEDS to have his breakout game this week!

Oakland came out hot against KC last week.  And, maybe Jon Gruden can coach an offense after all that time in the booth.  Expect them to get their a TD or 2, but that roster can’t hang with top notch teams for all 60 minutes just yet.

Vikings will control this one and win big at home.

KC @ OAK – Week 2

The Dog is drooling like Pavlov’s pup when the bell rings.  I’m loving this week 2 matchup of AFC West teams in the 2nd helping of games this Sunday afternoon.

Call 2019 the Summer Fall of Sammy as he’s well on his way to the banner type year everyone has been waiting for ever since he was selected 4th overall in 2014.  He’s got a full year under belt in the Patty Mahomes & Andy Reid offense . With that belt a few notches tighter I see them using Watkins more and more picking up where they left off last week.

The Raiders look good for 21 a game this year. I see that being more like 24-30 this Sunday afternoon as Andy Reid forgets about his defense for 2 or 3 quarters.

But, these are two old-school offensive minded coaches. Neither is going to settle with being outdone. With the Raiders good for 24, I can’t see this staying under.

Put some ketchup on the steak.

Put on your Favorite Sammy Adams song to pair with your Sammy Watkins highlights.

Put it on KC to cover and the OVER.
